ABOUT THIS SURVEY📝

Fast Forward is Scotland’s national youthwork organisation specialising in risk-taking behaviours, prevention and early intervention. We promote young people’s health and wellbeing through education and training. Established as a Scottish youthwork charity in 1987, we support children and young people, their parents and carers, and the practitioners who work with them. Fast Forward have been working to raise awareness, prevent and educate around gambling and gaming harm in Scotland since 2018. They work with young people, families, practitioners and communities to tackle gambling harm and help amplify their voices to be a force for change.

Young Scot and Fast Forward would like to hear from young people across Scotland to learn more about how gambling impacts you and your community.  Scotland is about to undergo big change in this sector, so we need to know your thoughts so that any change reflects young people’s needs.

Give us your thoughts and receive 150 Young Scot reward points as a thank you for completing the survey.

🗺️ You can be living anywhere in Scotland

Survey results (including your responses) will be analysed and reported on by Young Scot and our partner - Fast Forward. These reports may become publicly available. Young Scot may also use results to help us develop our services and create future social media content.

Do you agree for your responses to be used for these purposes? *

Are you happy for your typed responses to be anonymously quoted in publications by Young Scot? If you do not provide permission then no direct quotes will be used but your responses will still be used in report analysis. *

Why do we ask for your consent?

It's really important that people responding consent to Young Scot (and others!) seeing the information you give us as well as how it will be used

What kind of information are you asking for, and what will it be used for?

All our surveys are completely anonymous. We won't ask for your name or other identifying information, so we would never quote you by name or even give your name as a respondent. We do ask for some information about you to let us check whether we've been able to get responses from young people in every area in Scotland, across age groups and ethnicities, etc.
We use the information the survey gathers in reports, social media posts, and sometimes to tell decision makers what young people think.
